Teachers & Practitioners

  1. Cheryl Hawrychuk: Cheryl is a breathwork facilitator, wellness coach, podcast host, and proud momma. She’s helped me incorporate breathwork into my spiritual practices, which has up leveled them like whoa, and she has a gift for uplifting others and encouraging with sweetness and sass.
  2. Connie Chapman: Connie is a certified life coach and women’s empowerment mentor. She is also the host of Awaken Radio, one of my favorite spiritual podcasts. I love learning from Connie because she is wise, authentic, and not afraid to share when she’s struggling and how she works through it.

Meditation Resources

The Honest Guys

The Honest Guys are, hands down, my favorite meditation resource. They have so many incredible, free meditations over on YouTube. I never fail to find something that resonates and inspires me in just the way I need in that moment.

I have quite a few meditation apps on my phone, but Insight Timer is, by far, the one I use the most. They have sooo many incredible free resources. From guided meditations, to lectures from spiritual teachers, to just music tracks to help calm your mind.

Anti-Racism & Social Justice Resources

I am deeply committed to social justice and anti-racism and wanted to provide links to resources that have really helped me on my own journey of decolonizing from white supremacy and helping to dismantle systemic racism and oppression.

I am by no means an expert, and am a work in progress and always learning; however, I think an important part of this work is sharing it with others, especially fellow white folx, so that we can all do our part to assist with moving the needle of equity forward.

  1. Do the Work 30-Day Course by Rachel Cargle: As described on Rachel’s website: This course is designed to be an eye-opener and a call to action for those who seek to be allies to Black women. I also suggest following Rachel on Instagram.
  2. Spiritual Activism 101 with Rachel Ricketts: This is a great intro course to learn how to commit to authentic anti-racism, as well as learning more about white supremacy and oppression. Rachel’s Instagram is also a wealth of information.
  3. The Crash Course with Weeze Duran: This is an incredible course to get started in deep anti-racism work. It combines education and coaching, and Weeze is a truly gifted educator with a knack for keeping it real and helping you process what comes up for you during this work. I also highly suggest following her on Instagram and checking out her monthly membership/community on Podia!
  4. That’s Now How That Works podcast: This podcast, hosted by Weeze (noted above) and Trudi Lebrón, is all about diversity, inclusion, and equity. There are sooo many amazing episodes that are super helpful whether you’re just getting started on your anti-racism journey or you’re well under way.
  5. So You Want to Talk about Race by Ijeoma Oluo
  6. How to Be Less Stupid about Race: On Racism, White Supremacy, and the Racial Divide by Crystal Marie Fleming
  7. Do Better: Spiritual Activism for Fighting and Healing from White Supremacy by Rachel Ricketts
