Weekly Wisdom: Temptation

Although this world, and this life, is your playground, you must not become attached to outcomes or the material world.

This card is a reminder for you to check in with yourself and ask:

1) Are you too focused on the material right now?

2) Are you getting swept up in excess?

3) Do you find yourself falling into addictive behavior?

4) Are you obsessed with how things “should” go and then disappointed when the outcome does not meet your expectations?

It’s time to stop and reflect on how you are showing up right now in your life.

If you find yourself falling into the throes of temptation and attachment – ask yourself why.

What are you REALLY seeking right now?

And how can you fulfill that need within yourself, instead of looking outside of yourself and to the material world?

Always know that you have everything you need within you <3

Channeled Message: Release comparison.

Photo by Mathieu Stern on Unsplash

Why do you compare yourself to others, dear heart?

Yes, it is natural, especially in your age of technology, to be swept up in the lives and achievements of those around you.

But your own life deserves more of your focus and energy.

When you compare yourself to someone else, you do yourself a great disservice. You do not truly know what their experience is in private, when no one is watching.

You are here to live your life, not focus on someone else’s. Give yourself your own attention.

So how can you turn your gaze back onto yourself?

It takes intention, awareness, and reflection.

Make a commitment to yourself that you will release comparison and instead focus on your own journey. And if your current reality is not everything you desire, then how can you make it so? You get to do that – create the life you want.

Take the steps toward the dream life you envision. Celebrate your progress along the way. Embrace the challenges that may appear before you.

And always, always invest in yourself and your own life first and foremost.

Channeled Message: Be thankful

Photo by Pro Church Media on Unsplash

For a number of you, this month, and this season, moves into a time of gratitude and reflection.

It’s beautiful to reflect on the things and people in your life who stir great appreciation and love within you, but it’s also important to remember that gratitude should not be a seasonal practice.

Gratitude should be a lens through which you consistently live your life.

Being thankful invokes a deep, divine magic.

Especially during times of struggle and strife.

Yes, those times, it is more difficult than ever to practice gratitude, but when you can master tapping into your well of thankfulness when things are difficult and you are in pain, you will ascend to another level of existence and awakening.

You are a divine being, living a divine experience, guided by the divine.

Every moment is divinely curated for you and your experience in this life. It is through challenge and hardship that you experience the most growth and ascension.

Yes, practice gratitude this season, but also practice it now. Practice it when your heart is bursting with love, and practice it most especially when you are experiencing a dark night of the soul.

And know that we are so grateful for you, dear heart, and for the beauty and magic you create, simply through being yourself.

P.S. I’m grateful for you. I’m grateful for TSC and this new way of connecting with others through spirit. And I’m super grateful for cooler weather, hoodies, and Uggs 😉 What are you grateful for?

Weekly Wisdom: Chariot

The theme for this week is victory 🙂

While success is inevitable, and celebrating that success is justly deserved…

Take time to reflect on how everything you have endured, including obstacles and setbacks, is part of this victory.

Every instance in life, “good” or “bad,” is an opportunity for learning and growth.

Relish in your victory, dear one, but always remember the ebb and flow of life includes victory and defeat, and both deserve gratitude and celebration in their own way.

November Wisdom: Shock of the New

A strangely beautiful newness is seeking to manifest in your life.

Although this is connected to the deepest parts of you, this new birth may still be a shock to your system.

It will be unfamiliar, perhaps even scary, but if you persevere through the initial stages of the strange and unknown, your shock of the new will eventually transform into joy and freedom.

Let go of old ways so that you can usher in new beginnings.

You have outgrown the old, and although releasing the familiar may be terrifying, trust that you will be divinely guided the entire way.

Sacred Space

This is my sacred space ^^

How many of you have a designated sacred space?

Maybe a spiritual altar or a meditation nook?

I’ve had what I call a soul altar for years now. I realized early in my spiritual journey that I not only wanted but needed a sacred space that I could go to when I wanted to disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle, ground into my body and experience, and do all the soulful things.

Our space really does affect us.

I was chatting about this to my soulmatebff (and partner in crime in screenwriting and here at TSC) Jess the other day. I was telling her how I had a parade of workers in and out of my apartment for a few days to do some electrical upgrades and how it was taking so much more of a toll on me than I expected.

It wasn’t just the noise and inconvenience (and dust and dirt, oh god, the dust and dirt!), it was having a number of strangers in my space, moving things around, knocking holes in the walls and ceilings, and infusing my usually zen and flowy space with their energy.

My friend shared her own experience with having her sacred space disrupted. She’s enduring some home renovations at the moment, and her usual space for all things relaxation and divine connection was cluttered with tools, supplies, etc., and it was really disrupting her flow and routine (and mental energy!).

This is why people get so into things like feng shui or the Marie Kondo method. We start to realize how this stuff affects us and the change and liberation we can experience if we do something about it.

For me, it took a few years to get my sacred space just right. It used to just be a chair for meditation. Then I got some shelves and did a floor-based altar that caught my eye on Pinterest and wound up being uncomfortable and lacked functionality.

Now I have a spacious desktop altar, with space for my salt lamp, candles, and other spiritual totems AND, most importantly, plenty of space for me to do card spreads and journal. I still have my chair for meditation, right next to my altar – basically half of my bedroom is my zen den, and I love it. It’s my favorite spot in my apartment 🙂

Sooo if you don’t yet have a sacred space – I encourage you to create one. Not only will it be fun to design and set up (especially if you’re an interior design nerd like me), but it will give you that little safe haven that you can escape to when you need to turn off the outside world and take the time and space to go inwards.

Channeled Message: Less rigidity, more allowance.

Photo by Slava B on Unsplash

Release the rigidity that rules your life. Allow yourself to live from ease and flow. From fun and pleasure.

Let what feels good drive you, not what feels “should.”

Life is not meant to be a never-ending to do list. It is not meant to be a perfectly executed achievement.

Life is meant to be an experience, more so a series of experiences. Some messy. Some painful. Many unexpected.

But therein lies the beauty.

Trying to perfectly orchestrate your life will not make it better. It will make it small and uninspired.

Feel. Flow. Experience. Invite in the unknown. Play. Release expectation. Stop trying to do and just be.

Allow, and you will thrive.

So much beauty and love awaits you – you only need to open yourself up to it.
